From setup to daily use — instructions in one place
Account setup, student and class entry, taking attendance, fee entry, publishing results and contacting support — instructions for each step.
This Help Center documents only processes that genuinely exist in SchoolZee — no invented features or workflows. Each section is broken into small steps you can follow in order.
Before you begin
SchoolZee is mobile-first, so daily work can be done from a smartphone alone; paid plans add desktop access. The platform is fully usable in Bangla and English, and a straightforward role-based access system lets administrators control who sees what.
- Institutions with up to 15 students can use the mobile app free forever — with no trial period.
- Usable by schools, colleges, madrasas, coaching centers and tuition batches.
- If setup help is needed, premium and higher plans include full assistance from the team.
1. Account setup
The first step is creating the institution's account and adding the core institution information (name, class structure). This foundation is used by every later workflow, so setting it correctly once saves time later.
Next, decide who works in which role and set roles and permissions for each person. Separate accounts per person keep access control effective, unlike shared passwords.
- Preparing the institution name and class structure in advance speeds up setup.
- Create a separate account for each staff member.
- Set roles and permissions at the start — they can be changed later.
2. Student and class entry
Creating classes and sections before adding students works better, because each student is placed directly into a class. Lists then stay organized automatically, with no extra sorting when attendance or results are due.
Adding guardian contact to every student profile matters — attendance, result and fee notifications all depend on it. If a class or section changes later, it is updated directly on the profile, while the earlier history is preserved for reporting.
- Classes and sections first, students second — that order works best.
- Add guardian contact with every student.
- Keep guardian and emergency contacts up to date on the profile.
3. Taking attendance
Attendance is the app's most everyday task. Open the attendance screen for the class and section and mark the students present; the rest count as absent. Attendance data goes straight into the system, so there is nothing to submit separately.
If the institution wishes, an automatic SMS or app notification can be sent to the guardian of an absent student — and because SMS is used, the alert gets through even without an internet connection. Daily, monthly or custom date-range reports show class-level presence patterns, while teacher and staff attendance is stored in its own module.
- Taking attendance in the app requires an internet connection; guardian notifications can also go out as SMS.
- Reviewing monthly reports regularly surfaces long absence patterns early.
- Teacher and staff attendance sits in its own module, so the figures don't blur.
4. Fee entry and collection
Fee work splits into two parts: the guardian's payment and the institution's record. In SchoolZee, guardians can pay through bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank transfer or card, and every payment generates an automatic digital receipt and invoice.
The due picture appears on the fee dashboard, filterable by student, class or date range. Automatic reminders can be sent for unpaid dues, and every transaction is stored on the relevant student's profile.
- Select the correct student when entering a fee so the history reconciles.
- Check the due list at least monthly and follow up.
- Every payment's receipt and invoice is stored digitally.
5. Publishing results
After exam marks are entered, SchoolZee calculates grades automatically to the institution's grading rules and produces result cards — removing the manual calculation step. There is an opportunity to review the summary before publishing.
After publication, guardians see the result in the parent app in real time and receive a notification; the institution can also print cards for its records. Exam routines are planned and published from the same dashboard used for class routines.
- Verify marks and grading rules once before publishing.
- Publishing works best once all subjects of an exam are fully entered.
- Published results are immediately visible in the guardian's parent app.
6. Contacting support
Usage questions, setup help or technical problems — the SchoolZee team can be reached on any of these. The quickest route is writing through the contact page, or sending a message on the official WhatsApp number or email.
Where institution setup help is needed, premium and higher-tier customers receive full support from the team — including data import, configuration and onboarding. Requesting a demo lets you discuss your institution's requirements directly.

- Setup discussions for your institution — request a demo.

Help Center — frequently asked questions
Do I need technical knowledge to start?
SchoolZee's interface is designed to be simple, so an ordinary smartphone user can operate the system. The goal is to free institution management from unnecessary technical complexity.
Do I need a computer to use the app?
No. With the mobile plan you can run the necessary management work using just a smartphone. If you prefer desktop, paid plans include both mobile and desktop.
Can the app be used in Bangla?
Yes. The platform is fully usable in Bangla and English, so staff can work in whichever language they are comfortable with.
What happens if there is no internet while taking attendance?
An internet connection is needed to mark attendance and store it in the system, so it is best to confirm connectivity beforehand. For guardians, however, notifications can also be sent as SMS, so alerts arrive without internet.
Can we control who can see the data?
Yes. Through role and permission controls, administrators decide what each teacher, accountant or staff member can view and edit inside SchoolZee, keeping sensitive data restricted to the right users.
Where do I go for help?
