1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to: (a) use of the schoolzee.net website, (b) use of SchoolZee App and its software, (c) use of free products including Hazira Khata, Bidda Printer and Beton Boi, and (d) our support, onboarding and communication.
By using the website or app you are taken to have read and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please refrain from using the service — and if you are an institution with doubts, talk to us first.
2. Website use
The website's purpose is to help institutions decide — products, features, how pricing works, policies and ways to contact us. You may view, print or save pages for personal or institutional use.
Text, images, logos and design on the website may not be copied and passed off as your own, republished commercially or altered for use without permission. If you wish to quote, credit SchoolZee by name and include the page address.
We try to keep website information accurate. Still, if something becomes outdated or incorrect we work to correct it, and we ask you to contact us for up-to-date information before making an important decision.
3. Account and access responsibilities
Accounts are created by an authorised person on behalf of the institution. Account security is primarily the institution's and the user's responsibility — we look after the system side.
- Keep your password to yourself and do not share it with others.
- If someone leaves the institution or changes role, closing or changing that account is the institution's responsibility.
- Give each user the correct role (admin, teacher, accounts, guardian) so they see only the information they need.
- If you see something suspicious in an account or suspect a password has leaked, tell us quickly.
- An account must not be used in any way that disrupts another user's work or harms the system.
4. The institution's responsibilities
An institution's information enters the system through the institution. So the accuracy and legitimacy of that information, and the right to hold it, should rest with the institution.
- Ensuring the necessary permissions and consents before student and guardian data is entered into the system.
- Keeping data accurate and up to date — if a report is wrong because the data was wrong, that is the institution's responsibility.
- Following the relevant policy before placing students' photographs, video or personal information into the system.
- Using the system in line with the institution's own privacy and data policy, where one exists.
5. User conduct and prohibited use
The service exists for educational work. The following are not allowed — if they occur we reserve the right to close the relevant account.
- Viewing, collecting, exporting or selling anyone else's information without permission.
- Attempting unauthorised access to an account or the system, or trying to break its security.
- Damaging the system, overloading it, or extracting data by automated means.
- Providing fraudulent information, such as opening an account under a fake institution name.
- Using the service for anything unlawful.
6. Ownership and intellectual property
The app, software, website, design, brand names and documentation belong to SchoolZee Tech Ltd. An institution receives a limited, non-transferable right to use the service.
The information an institution enters — student lists, attendance, fees, results — remains the institution's property. The institution keeps control of that data and can export it.
If you send advice, opinions or a feature request, we may use it to improve the product — but no confidential information about your institution will be disclosed in doing so.
7. Conditions for the free products
Hazira Khata, Bidda Printer and Beton Boi are offered as free products so teachers and institutions can get used to digital working at little cost. Free does not mean without conditions — the rules of use below and in the rest of these terms apply.
The features or scope of a free product may change over time — some may be added and some may become limited. Where a change is significant we try to inform you beforehand, and where a paid service is needed, that is stated clearly.
8. Service availability, maintenance and changes
We try to keep the service running dependably. However, maintenance, upgrades, network problems or something outside our control may stop the service for a while or slow it down.
Where possible we try to give notice before maintenance. We do not commit in writing to a specific uptime percentage unless that is separately set out in a contract.
If a feature needs to be withdrawn or changed we try to give reasonable notice, so an institution can arrange its work another way.
9. Plans, fees and cancellation conditions
What each plan includes, how student-count based pricing works, when invoices arrive, and how cancellation or refunds work are set out in detail in a separate subscription policy. That policy is treated as part of these terms.
The final commercial conditions on fees are determined by the signed agreement or approved quotation with the institution. For general information, see the pricing page and subscription policy.
10. Limitation of liability
We take responsibility for delivering the service well — but decisions an institution makes using the service are its own responsibility. For example, where data in the system was wrong, decisions based on it are not our responsibility.
We are not liable for indirect loss, such as loss of business, loss of reputation or loss of expected profit. We advise an institution to verify its own data inside the service, particularly before publishing examination results or fee-related reports.
Where a contract exists, its specific liability provisions apply.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service or legal requirements change. The updated version is kept on this page. An institution can ask us for the effective date and a description of what changed.
Where a change is significant we try to inform institutions in advance — so an institution understands how the change affects its work.
12. Applicable law and contact
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Bangladesh. If there is a disagreement, we first try to resolve it through direct discussion — most disputes come down to a misunderstanding.
For questions, suggestions for correction or complaints about these terms, contact: email info@schoolzee.net or WhatsApp +880 18777 8240. SchoolZee Tech Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Note: this page sets out general conditions of use; it is not a substitute for an agreement with a particular institution. If an institutional agreement says something different, that agreement's terms apply.
